THE ISSUES OF STATE REGULATION OF GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS AND ABSORPTION ARE CONSIDERED

On October 8, 2024, within the framework of SDG-13, the head of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law, Doctor of Law, Professor G.A. Kuanalieva and PhD Doctor G.K. Rasheva held a discussion with 2nd year students on the topic "Regulation of greenhouse gases in accordance with the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan". During the discussion, the students paid attention to the following articles of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Article 282 (emissions and absorption of greenhouse gases), Article 289 (carbon quotas), and Article 302 (state system of accounting for emissions and absorption of greenhouse gases). Issues of state regulation of greenhouse gas emissions and uptake the need for legislative control over greenhouse gases to minimize environmental risks and combat climate change is being considered.
