Economics Department develops academic mobility to strengthen cooperation between Farabi University and foreign universities

As is known, all countries worldwide implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals to improve people's well-being and enhance the protection of our planet. In this regard, the teaching staff of the Economics Department at HSEB actively contributes to achieving SDG 4 “Quality Education  and 17 SDG .” Farabi University constantly develops cooperation with many leading foreign universities within the framework of realizing its sustainable development strategy. The university's teaching staff carries out academic mobility based on agreements on cooperation between Farabi University and foreign universities. Based on this, Senior Lecturer of the Economics Department, PhD Dinara Zh. Rakhmatullayeva, in September, underwent a scientific internship at the University of Padova (Italy). This internship was financed by the funds of the project AP19683020, “Study of new tools for the development of a business environment in the regions of Kazakhstan to improve the investment attractiveness and competitiveness of the country in the Eurasia region” of the MSHE RK, realized at the Department of Economics. Dinara Zhaksylykovna and the Professor of the University of Padova David Celetti discussed the scientific problems of the project and actively worked on their solution. During this internship, D.Zh.Rakhmatullayeva and the professor tried to compare the state of small and medium-sized enterprises in different spheres of economic activity in Italy and Kazakhstan based on their concentration indices. Prof. David Celetti, for an extended period, has actively cooperated with the Department of Economics, and the department staff publishes joint publications with him on various economic topics. This internship will contribute to developing new forms of cooperation between the Department of Economics and the University of Padova in the future.
