On October 23, 2024, the Department of Economics held an event dedicated to the celebration of Republic Day of Kazakhstan, which is celebrated on October 25. During the meeting, the importance of this holiday as a symbol of independence, unity, and sustainable development of the country was discussed. Participants emphasized Kazakhstan's contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16 — "Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions." This holiday is a reminder of the country’s commitment to peace, strengthening rule of law, and building a just society.

During the event, students and faculty discussed the nation’s historical path, its achievements on the international stage, and the importance of preserving national values for future generations. The themes of unity and public cooperation in building a sustainable future were highlighted as essential factors for national development. The event concluded with the understanding that Republic Day is not just a celebration, but a symbol of patriotism and responsibility for Kazakhstan’s prosperity, aiming toward a sustainable and just society.
