Support and rehabilitation of child victims of violence

On October 29, in order to implement SDG-16, an event was held in the state institution "Department for Coordination of Employment and Social Programs of the Almaty Region" in the "Center for Social Assistance to Victims of Domestic Violence" within the framework of the project "Programs for Support and Rehabilitation of Child Victims of Violence: Pilot Implementation of a Network of Centers". The event was attended by legal scholars of law faculty, the Department of "Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labor Law" and "Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Forensics" of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, employees of the "Coordination of Employment and Social Programs of the Almaty Region", the municipal state institution "Center for Social Assistance to Victims of Domestic Violence", the Center for Labor Resource Analysis and the Police Department of the Almaty Region. 
During the event, obstacles to protecting the rights of mothers and children who have become victims of domestic violence were discussed, and the main mechanisms for their solution were identified. Issues of preventing violence against mothers and children were discussed, legal scholars exchanged opinions and shared a number of legislative methods used in providing psychological and legal assistance. The participants of the event adopted a resolution defining the directions of coordination and development of services on this issue.
