A guest lecture on the topic: "The accounting profession: opportunities and prospects for growth"

On 11/01/2024, at 11:00 a.m., within the framework of SDG 4 "Quality Education" and SDG 8 "Decent work and Economic growth", senior lecturer of the Department of Finance and Accounting G. Zhunussova organized a guest lecture on the topic: "The accounting profession: opportunities and prospects for growth" for 4th and 2nd year students of the specialty "Accounting and Auditing".  The invited speaker is Timur Tugaev, Director for Development of the Chamber of Professional Accountants of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The speaker told the students about the Chamber of Professional Accountants of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), a global organization that unites representatives of the accounting profession from more than 130 world countries. Since 2011, the Professional Organization of Accountants "Chamber of Professional Accountants of the Republic of Kazakhstan" has been a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). The students learned: how to get International professional certificates, about career opportunities. They also received answers to their questions, for example: "How can an accountant be competitive in the labor market?", "Does the accountant's salary depend on the availability of certificates?", "How much does training cost?", "What prospects does obtaining certificates open?", etc.
