One of the speakers, Zhanerke Kanbatyrova, shared that according to the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Almaty, a mechanical cleaning of lakes and rivers within Almaty has been conducted this year to restore the ecological balance.

Another speaker, Kushaliev, noted that there are a total of 109 water streams in Almaty, including 49 large rivers with a total length of 447 kilometers, and maintaining these and the adjacent areas clean plays an important role in ensuring public health and comfortable conditions for residents' lives and recreation.
