On September 13, 2024, as part of the implementation of SDG 11: "Ensuring openness, security, resilience and environmental sustainability of cities and human settlements", students of the OP "International Law" 3rd year students held a debate in the Discussion Club "Lex" on the topic: "The benefits of building nuclear power plants in the Republic of Kazakhstan".
The students actively discussed the topical aspects of issues related to the construction of a nuclear power plant, the economic, environmental and political consequences and risks of this project. Some argued for the need to introduce nuclear energy as an important step for the country's economic and energy growth, while others expressed concern about possible risks.
