Nurlı Tau is a large business center in Almaty, constructed based on the “city within a city” principle. The name “Nurlı Tau” translates to “Shining Mountain” in Russian.
The Nurlı Tau residential complex is part of the eponymous multifunctional center, one of the most famous and impressive buildings in the city, located in the Bostandyk district of Almaty, near the residence of the President of Kazakhstan, within the square bordered by Furmanov, Al-Farabi, Zheltoksan, and Gandhi Streets.
In terms of architecture, the buildings vary in height from 7 to 32 floors (ranking second in the list of the tallest residential complexes in Almaty). The buildings are designed to resemble the contours of the Zailiyskiy Alatau mountains, and their facades are covered with special light-reflecting glass in a gray-blue color. The total area of the land plot exceeds 8 hectares, and the total building area is 500,000 square meters. It includes administrative, entertainment, and sports centers, clubs, restaurants, cinemas, and more. It was built by entrepreneur Alexander Yakovlevich Belovich in 2006.
“Nurlı Tau” is one of the largest public centers in the city, featuring not only residential spaces but also commercial real estate. The complex houses offices of major companies such as Kazneftekhim JSC, Narodny Bank JSC, ATF Bank JSC, as well as the Mitsubishi Corp. and Basis-A Corporation, among others.
Such events, organized within the framework of SDGs at educational institutions, are of significant educational value and are highly welcomed!
