International Conference for Students and Young Scientists at Al-Farabi KazNU Dedicated to Financier's Day

On November 15, 2024, the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an international conference dedicated to Financier's Day. The event brought together students and young scientists from Kazakhstan and CIS countries, united to discuss the theme: "Development of Financial Literacy and Financial Inclusion: Practices, Prospects, and Barriers."

The main directions of the conference were: Development of financial technologies and cashless payments in Kazakhstan, Digitalization of the economy and its impact on development, Sustainable development of Kazakhstan in modern conditions, Challenges and prospects of digitalization in the tax system, securities markets, and other sectors.

At the plenary session, presentations were made by leading experts: Azat Omarov, Deputy Head of the Department of State Revenue of Almaty, highlighted the current state of the tax system, Kuat Kozhakhmetov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "First Heartland JusanBank," shared insights on trends in the banking sector, Ahmad Afandi Mahfudz, Professor at Darussalam Gontor University (Indonesia), provided perspectives on international financial integration.

The conference sessions included discussions of key issues and practices in sustainable development, financial literacy, digitalization, and globalization challenges. Participants presented their research and exchanged practical knowledge. The importance of financial literacy for Kazakhstan's economic development was emphasized. Recommendations were made to improve financial inclusion and to develop modern educational programs.
