On November 12, 2024, second-year master’s students of the "Economics" educational program participated in a guest lecture as part of the "Modeling Investment Projects" course. The lecture was delivered by Zhaksylyk Khasenov, the Project Manager of the Mining Industry at Kazakh Invest JSC, who shared his practical experience and up-to-date information on modern approaches to developing investment projects in Kazakhstan.
The main topic of the lecture was presenting Kazakhstan's opportunities as an investment destination, including the advantages offered to international investors. Key aspects of investment project development and implementation were discussed in detail, including:
- Kazakhstan's competitive advantages, such as its strategic location, access to large markets, and favorable business climate;
- specifics of working with investments in the mining industry;
- opportunities to utilize the country's infrastructure and natural resources;
- the role of Kazakh Invest JSC in supporting and accompanying investment projects.
The lecture sparked great interest among the students, as it provided a unique opportunity to learn about the practical aspects of attracting foreign investments and the specifics of implementing them in priority economic sectors.
During the session, students also reviewed a presentation highlighting the details of state policies in investor support and examples of successful investment cases.
Guest lectures organized by the Department of Economics help students understand the practical relevance of theoretical knowledge while also fostering professional networking and facilitating graduates’ integration into the real economy.
