On November 22, 2024, within the framework of GSD-16 «Peace, justice and effective institutions», as well as on the eve of the international campaign "16 days of active action against violence", a seminar was held for 2nd year students on the topic: "We are against violence."

The seminar was organized by Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Doctor of Law, Professor Dina Muratovna Baymakhanova and Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, PhD, Associate Professor Leila Timurovna Kultemirova.

The speakers – 3rd year students Musataev Adilkhan, Abdimannatova Laura, Isabekova Aklia and Tazhibaeva Sevinch.

The problem of domestic violence was highlighted from various aspects.

Thus, Aklia devoted her speech to the issues of violence against women, noting that it is women around the world who experience more serious forms of violence.

Adilkhan drew the attention of those present to the problem of violence against men, pointing out that the problem of domestic violence does not have a gender identity. It affects everyone, regardless of gender, age, status and life circumstances.

Laura raised the issue of violence against children in her speech. She noted the danger of consequences when a child becomes a victim or witness of domestic violence.

At the end of the seminar, Sevinch conducted a quiz, participation in which allowed the children to test their knowledge in the field of countering domestic violence.

In addition, the guys expressed their opinion on what violence is, and the leitmotif of the seminar was the thesis: «We are against violence. Each of us can contribute to countering this problem»
