Guest lecture on the topic: "The Role of the Judiciary in Ensuring Justice: Challenges and Opportunities for Youth"

Within the framework of implementation of SDG № 16 "Peace, Justice and Effective Institutions" on 26 November 2024, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Civil Procedure, Labour Law Nurahmetova G.G. was organized a guest lecture with the judge of the Almaty City Court Ramazanov Almas Embergenovich on the theme: "The role of the judiciary in ensuring justice: challenges and opportunities for young people" for students of 209 group.
During the meeting, the judge shared his experience of working in the judicial system, spoke about the key principles of justice and the importance of the independence of the courts in ensuring justice. Special attention was paid to the practical aspects of a judge's work, including handling complex cases, making fair decisions and interacting with various institutions of society.

Students actively participated in the discussion, asking questions about court practice, law enforcement problems and opportunities for young people in the legal profession. Judge Ramazanov A.E. also emphasised the role of young people in building effective institutions, called for an active civic position and an informed attitude to issues of rights and obligations.
The lecture was an important step in improving the legal literacy of students, allowed them to become more familiar with the activities of the judiciary and understand its key role in achieving SDG № 16.
