The Faculty of International Relations shares its experience in promoting the 17 SDGs
On November 22, 2024, Delovarova Leila Fedorovna, Acting Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations and World Economy at al-Farabi KazNU, as part of the promotion of the 17 SDGs, held an international training seminar "Empowering the younger generation to ensure sustainability in the International community" at the invitation of the Department of Economic Development, University of Srivijaya, Indonesia. The international training seminar was organized by the International Communications Service of the Faculty of Economics of Srivijaya University.
As part of the event, L.F. Delovarova highlighted the main aspects of promoting the 17 SDGs at the Faculty of International Relations and spoke about the work of the Academic regional center for information support about the UN at the Faculty. The second part of the training included an interactive session, which was attended by 40 participants from countries such as Indonesia, China, Pakistan and Kazakhstan. During this session, participants discussed the role of the 17 SDGs in the creation of international student communities and worked out in groups the main aspects necessary for the formation and sustainability of such communities.
The event was held in a lively and interesting atmosphere, the organizers expressed their willingness to continue such activity and involve activists of the al-Farabi KazNU in order to further exchange experiences and promote the SDGs.
