The Head of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin officially opened a branch of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University at the F. Dostoevsky Omsk State University.

The educational and methodological office of international law named after Nazir Torekulov was opened in the branch of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University at the F. Dostoevsky Omsk State University. Students of the international law program will study in this office. The Head of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin officially opened a branch of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University at the F. Dostoevsky Omsk State University. This historic event became possible within the framework of the state visit of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to Kazakhstan.
Admission of applicants to the branch of the first Kazakh university in Russia is scheduled for September 2025. The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation allocated 200 grants for the training of students.
The branch of KazNU will train bachelors and masters in such educational programs as International Law, Kazakh Philology and Customs Affairs. In the future, the issue of implementing double-degree educational programs will be considered.
