Researching Museum Artifacts: B.B. Besetayev's Lecture on Preparing Scientific Publications
As part of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 17 "Partnerships for the Goals," staff members of the Abish Kekilbayev Mangystau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore are undergoing scientific internships and professional development at the Department of Archaeology, Ethnology, and Museology of the Faculty of History at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the internship, Senior Lecturer B.B. Besetayev delivered a lecture on "Preparing and Publishing a Scientific Article Based on Archaeological Artifacts from Museum Collections."
During the internship, the lecture by Senior Lecturer B.B. Besetayev on "Preparing and Publishing a Scientific Article Based on Archaeological Artifacts from Museum Collections" was particularly significant. The lecture discussed the importance of introducing archaeological artifacts from museum collections into the scientific discourse. B.B. Besetayev explained the main steps in artifact research, data processing methods, structural features of writing a scientific article, as well as the requirements for publishing in international scientific journals.
He also shared his professional experience in publishing scientific articles, including how to choose the right journal, navigate the peer-review process, and methods to improve the quality of the article. The participants of the internship understood the importance of publishing their scientific research and set goals to enhance their opportunities to present research results on museum artifacts at the international level.
