Winners of the Korean language competition

November 27, 2024 at the Department of the Far East, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi KazNU., with the support of the Education Center of the Republic of Korea in Almaty, held a Korean language knowledge competition as part of the Korean Studies Week. Many students took part in the competition, 18 of whom were first-year students. The competition was held with great enthusiasm and interest. The Korean language questions were tested in TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) format. Since the first-year participants in particular have only studied at the Department for 3 months and are taking a test, the Korean language questions may be a little difficult for first-year participants. However, it can be said that this is a meaningful competition because first-year participants can find out their Korean language level in advance in the middle of the semester. Participants who took prizes in the competition were awarded a cash prize and gifts.
