Within the framework of the SDG ‘Quality Education’, the Department of Chinese Studies held a linguo-country studies seminar
On 3 December 2024, the Department of Chinese Studies held a linguo-country studies seminar organised by first-year doctoral student Raisa Leonidovna Pak. The seminar was devoted to the topic ‘Administrative divisions of the People's Republic of China’ and was intended for first-year Bachelor's degree students of the speciality ‘Foreign Philology’.
The seminar was held in an interactive and engaging atmosphere, bringing together students of the Department of Chinese Studies. During the event, participants discussed the peculiarities of the administrative division of the People's Republic of China, its relationship to regional economic development, and the ethnogeographical characteristics of the country. Special attention was paid to how these aspects influence the perception of Chinese language and culture.
Raisa Leonidovna emphasised the importance of studying linguo-country studies of Chinese through interdisciplinary approaches, which allows students to better understand the socio-cultural and economic contexts of the country. The participants of the seminar noted the high level of organisation and relevance of the chosen topic, stressing its importance for the professional training of future specialists in Oriental Studies and Foreign Philology.
Such scientific events contribute to the development of students' analytical thinking, broaden their understanding of China and strengthen their interest in further study of Chinese language and culture.
