Meeting with representatives of Bostandyk district prosecutor's office

Within the framework of implementation of SDG №16, the Department of Civil Law and Civil Process, Labour Law of the Faculty of Law on December 5, 2024 organized a meeting for students of the Faculty of Law with the prosecutor of Bostandyk district of Almaty - Nurdauletov Gaziz Zhakypuly. The welcoming speech was delivered by Member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Social Development of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Suatai Sabit Kurmanzhanovich, Dean of the Faculty of Law Akhatov Ualikhan Akypbekovich. The meeting was attended by Deputy prosecutor of the Bostandyk district – Kazantayev Nurzhan Ganibekuly, prosecutor of the Prosecutor's office of the Bostandyk district – Medeuov Miras Yerikuly. 
During the meeting, representatives of the Prosecutor's Office noted the drug situation in the country, which is of particular concern to the Head of State and representatives of civil society. 
Today, illicit trafficking in narcotic and psychotropic substances remains one of the most widespread offences, especially among young people.
A video explaining the current legislation on the prevention of offenses in the field of illicit drug trafficking was shown.
The participants of the meeting came to the conclusion that in order to prevent offenses among students, it is necessary to distribute the video among all faculties of the university.
