Report on the event held on the theme "Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

In accordance with Goal 8 of the SDG - "decent work and economic growth", and in honor of the Independence Day holiday, on November 28, 2024, an event was held on the territory of the Republic Square next to the Independence Monument with the participation of 2nd-year students of the Russian and Kazakh department of the Faculty of International Relations, specializing in "World Economy" under the guidance of senior lecturer of the Department of International Relations and World Economy, Ph.D. in Economics Bekmukhametova A.B.

The event was organized with the aim of:
1) Strengthening patriotism among students and citizens;
2) Covering the Independence Day revolution for the younger generation;
3) Promoting historical values ​​​​and achievements of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event in relation to itself such stages as:

1) Opening of the event:
General greeting of the participants and announcement of the objectives of the event. Students carried attributes symbolizing the independence of the republic.

2) Discussion/conversation:
A discussion was held about the important events in gaining independence and the important achievements of the republics in the world economy after gaining sovereignty.

3) Conducting a survey among citizens to study historical facts: participants actively explore the issues, demonstrating awareness of the history of the country, its achievements and the acquisition of sovereignty.

4) Conclusion: at the end of the event, the results were summed up and the contribution to building the future of the Republic of Kazakhstan through education and social projects was noted. Photos were taken near the Independence Monument.

Results of the event:
Students, teachers, citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as foreign guests of the country took part in the event. This event can be regarded as an increase in interest in national traditions and history through cultural events. Let's hope that they will be held more often.
