Arǵynbek Qunanbaiuly, a linguist and professor at the Faculty of Philology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, was a guest of honor at an inspiring evening organized to aspire talents and future philologists. The event, filled with the resonating melodies of kyuis and heartfelt songs, beautifully combined tradition with modernity.
The audience enjoyed a unique blend of folk tunes and songs deeply rooted in Kazakh heritage, as well as works from global pop and rock ‘n’ roll genres, presented in fresh, original arrangements. The festive gathering took place at the Ykylas Museum of Folk Instruments. The evening was organized by Aigerim Myrzakhmet, head of the kyui school, and her American student, Geoff Gersh.
