"Songs performed in the town of KazNU"

On December 5, 2024, the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory of the Faculty of Philology held a literary and musical evening "Songs performed in the town of KazNU" in honor of the 90th anniversary of al-Farabi Kazakh National University and within the framework of the 4th SDG "Quality Education" in the House of Students No. 17. The  a young poet Sabyrzhan Akhan, who took the first place at the Republican Poetry Competition (mushaira) dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh poet Hanbibi Yesenkarakyzy was invited to the evening. At the evening,  the Master’s Degree  students and  the students  of 3-4 courses told about the biography and  the work of a university graduate, the owner of a bright talent Bauyrzhan Usenov and the first Kazakh bard and also poet Tabilda Dosymov. They listened poems performed by the  authors, as well as melodious songs that sounded in KazNU town. The students expressively read poems of legendary poets and performed their songs with guitar accompaniment.  The winners of the quizzes about Kazakh musical art were awarded with special prizes. At the end of the magnificent  evening,  the young student poets recited  their poems. Together they performed "Saigulik" song  by  Tabilda Dosymov and "Taspa" song by   Turar Dosekesh which were loved by all fans of Kazakh music.
