In memory of the dear and beloved by the people Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich Kunaev

12 december, 2024

One month later, on January 12, 1912, Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich Kunayev will turn 112 years old. The name of the great son of the Kazakh people,  Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich Kunayev who was  the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan is widely known outside of Kazakhstan. Modern youth  who is actively interested in the history of Kazakhstan knows D.A. Kunayev and  appreciates his enormous contribution to the development of our country. On   December 12, 2024,  on the eve of D.A. Kunayev's birthday the   2nd-year students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University  majoring in  "Thermal Power Engineering" together with their teacher N.S. Sanyarova honored the memory of an outstanding politician,  a famous scientist and a person with a big heart,  Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich Kunayev. They  visited  the memorial apartment-museum in which D.A. Kunaev lived with his wife Zukhra Sharipovna from 1969 until his death in 1993.

In the people's memory, Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich Kunayev remained a person whom the older generation cannot remember without emotion and tears. Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich was an unusually modest and charming, kind and open, attentive and sincere, bright and noble person in communication.  He was extremely simple and accessible to the people. Modesty is a characteristic feature of Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich. He was modest in his personal life, as evidenced by his apartment. Surprisingly, the Kunayev couple lived in an apartment building, where their neighbors were famous people in the country. The apartment is small by modern standards: the living room, the bedroom, D.A. Kunayev's personal study and the kitchen, on the countertop of which there were a number of cookbooks used by Zukhra Sharipovna. Thanks to the tour guide (a graduate of the history department of KazNU), we learned a lot of interesting and useful information about Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich and Zukhra Sharipovna. For example, they collected records of famous Kazakh, Soviet and world performers; numerous lighters that were presented by  the relatives and the  friends from foreign countries as a sign of respect and love. The large library, represented by world, foreign, Soviet and Kazakh literature, impressed the students and their teacher. Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich and Zukhra Sharipovna collected albums on art. They  managed to follow the work of modern popular groups and foreign performers.

These and other official and personal information made a deep impression on the students, who sincerely admired for  Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich and Zukhra Sharipovna,  especially their touching relationship. The students were glad that they visited the apartment-museum.  They experienced feelings of pride, love and gratitude to the great son of the Kazakh people, Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich Kunayev, whose memory will forever remain not only in our hearts, but also in the hearts of future generations.
