Camera! Action! Art of Yakutia.
On December 18, 2024, the Center for Russian Language and Culture of the Faculty of Philology organized a screening of “Camera! Action! Yakutia!” documentary film for the 4th-year students.
The film’s director, Natalya Kadyrova, is known for her documentary works. The purpose of watching the film was to study the phenomenon of Yakut cinematography, its influence on the development of regional art and the study of the cultural heritage of Yakutia. The the originality of the plot, based on folk legends and traditions and using minimal resources to create a high-quality film made the film interesting and unusual. “
Tygyn Darkhan” film was shown as an example. It was full of natural sceneries and computer special effects. The magnificent acting and wonderful visual style also made it impressive for audience . The student viewers noted the uniqueness of regional cinema, the motivation and interest of the creators, and national identity. The film has an educational character: it introduces viewers to the culture and traditions of Yakutia.
