China and Kazakhstan strengthen cooperation in education and science

From December 16 to December 22, 2024, a delegation of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, headed by Professor of the Department of Chinese Studies, Aldabek Nurzhamal Abdrazakovna, visited China as part of a business visit. The trip included meetings in the cities of Beijing and Qingdao and was an important step in strengthening educational and cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.
During the visit, the delegation met with representatives of leading Chinese educational and cultural institutions, including the World Center for Chinese Studies at Beijing University of Language and Culture. One of the key topics of discussion was the creation of joint programs and practice bases for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students in the field of Chinese studies.
Particular attention was paid to the translation of literary works of the two countries, discussed at a meeting with the Association of Writers of China. At the meeting in Qingdao, an educational cooperation forum was held, where academic exchanges, student co-education, as well as issues of modernization and cultural interaction between civilizations were discussed.
The final part of the program was a seminar on the topic "China + professional skills," organized with the participation of vocational colleges from different regions of China. They touched upon the development of joint educational materials, international cooperation in the field of professional skills and short-term training programs for Kazakhstani students.
Financial support for the visit was provided by the Philippine-China Education Company.
This visit was a significant event to strengthen ties between Kazakhstan and China in the educational and cultural spheres, and also gave a new impetus to the implementation of joint academic initiatives.
