
On January 9, 2025, a round table on the topic "Law and Order" was held at the Faculty of Law of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, timed to coincide with the discussion of the interview of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev for the newspaper "Ana tili".
In the interview, the head of state assessed the key domestic and foreign policy events of the country, summing up the political and socio-economic development of Kazakhstan in 2024.
The purpose of the round table was a deeper understanding of issues related to the dynamic development of the economy, political stability and the international position of Kazakhstan. Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor U.A. Akhatov opened the meeting, emphasizing the importance of three key areas: economic, political and international. He noted that 2024 was a year of significant achievements, such as the construction of new schools, road repairs and an increase in the housing stock, which had a positive impact on the lives of citizens of the country.
The discussion was attended by leading experts of the faculty, including the head of the department of "Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law" PhD Useinova K.R., Doctor of Law, Professor A.S. Ibraeva, PhD in Law, Associate Professor Nurpeisov E.K. and doctoral student of the department Akhmetova S. All of them in their speeches focused on the importance of the rule of law, the effectiveness of institutions and sustainable economic growth in the context of political reforms.
This round table became a significant platform for the exchange of opinions and ideas on issues of legal and social progress in Kazakhstan, and also demonstrates the active role of the Faculty of Law in shaping modern legal and political discussions in the country.
