New Horizons of Collaboration: Preparing the International Public Speaking Contest between Kazakhstan and Russia

On January 13, 2025, Dr. Ph.D. Nurzhan Baltazhanovna Saparbayeva from the Department of Sinology held a meeting with Deputy Dean for International Activities of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Associate Professor of the Department of English Philology, Candidate of Philological Sciences M.S. Mosyagina, as well as Assistant to the Vice-Rector for International Activities on International Education, Associate Professor of the Department of English Philology, Candidate of Philological Sciences O.S. Safonkina. The meeting focused on organizing an international oratory contest among students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and N.P. Ogarev Mordovia State Research University (Russia). Additionally, the discussion involved Assistant of the Department of English Philology I.Y. Aldashkina, Associate Professor of the Department of English Philology, Candidate of Philological Sciences I.S. Kuzmina, Associate Professor of the Department of English Philology, Candidate of Philological Sciences S.S. Panfilova, and Assistant of the Department of English Philology V.R. Sakanian. As a result of the meeting, the theme of the contest was chosen: "A Day I Will Never Forget." The contest is scheduled for April 14, 2025.
