OPICAL ISSUES OF LEGAL REGULATION IN THE FIELD OF RETAIL TRADE WERE DISCUSSED

On December 23, 2024, a scientific seminar on the topic "Lawyer in Retail" was held at the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University as part of the implementation of SDG 17 (Sustainable Development Goals). The seminar was organized to discuss topical issues of legal regulation in the field of retail trade.
The event was attended by Deputy Dean for Academic, Methodological and educational work Asanova S.E., Head of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law Kuanalieva G.A., teaching and professorial staff of the department, as well as students who showed high interest in the topic.
The invited guest Aizhan Babayeva, Deputy Head of the Legal service and Compliance Controller of Skif Trade LLP (Small supermarket chain), made a presentation. She highlighted the key aspects and features of legal regulation in retail. During her speech, A.Babayeva explained in detail what challenges lawyers and compliance specialists face, and what new trends are observed in legal practice.
The performances aroused great interest among students and teachers. The participants asked questions about the nuances of legislative changes, as well as the specifics of the work of legal services in a large retail chain. The seminar was held at a high level and facilitated an active exchange of knowledge between students, teachers and practitioners.
