The 90th anniversary of KazNU was held at a high level

At the end of 2024, the Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abai hosted a solemn meeting dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was attended by State Adviser of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Karin, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev, Chairman of the Board-Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, foreign guests, government and public figures, teachers and students of the university.

After the exhibition, the event turned into a solemn gathering. The audience was shown the historical documentary film "Farabi–90" about the country's leading university. The film presents a story about the achievements and historical events of the educational institution, which opened in 1934.

After the documentary, the concert program began. The concert was opened by the KazNU student choir with the song "Zhasai ber, KazUU!". Vocalists: Fariza Eschanova, Bekzat Abitov, Sultan Bekzat, Sabina Zheniskanova. The program continued with musical performances by famous stars of the country's art.

At the solemn meeting, Chairman of the Board-Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev focused on the results and achievements of the university's research and innovation activities.

At the anniversary event, Yerlan Karin read out a congratulatory letter from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and awarded active staff and teachers, professors, and students.
