Academic Collaboration and Manuscript Heritage Research: Dilara Aydin’s Contribution to the Development of Turkological Studies and the Strengthening of Cultural Dialogue

A research fellow at the Institute of Turkology at Istanbul University and a leading expert on manuscripts, Dilara Aydin, visited Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The visit was organized by the Department of Turkish Studies and History of Eastern Countries of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and aimed at conducting courses, training sessions, and meetings to foster professional growth and exchange of experience. She is gaining significant experience by working with Zubayda Shadkam, a professor at the Department of Turkish Studies and History of Eastern Countries and the director of the Research Center for “Monuments of Written Heritage and Spiritual Legacy”.
Dilara Aydin will work with Kazakhstan’s valuable manuscript collections, analyzing them in the context of historical and cultural studies. Her visit program includes seminars focused on an in-depth study of Turkish culture and its influence in a global context, which will be beneficial for international students studying Turkology. Additionally, she will share advanced methods in Turkological research, discuss prospects for cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey, and present new teaching materials to enhance Turkish language education.
This visit, organized by the Department of Turkish Studies and History of Eastern Countries, is a significant event for the university, contributing to the strengthening of academic and cultural dialogue.
