Leadership Lecture at the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism

On January 22, the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism organized a leadership lecture by Roza Karasayevna Utekesheva.

R.K. Utekesheva is known as a prominent economist and geographer of Kazakhstan. Her entire life and work are inextricably linked with the university. Thanks to her experience, qualifications as a teacher and organizer, the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism was able to quickly become one of the leading divisions not only of the faculty, but also of the university as a whole.

During her teaching career, Roza Karasayevna developed and taught courses on "Economic and Political Geography of Countries of the World", special courses on "Ethnogeography of the Peoples of the World", "Religious Tourism", "Economic Geography of China" and many others. Her interesting and informative lectures on the problems and issues of economic, social and political geography of foreign countries and tourism have forever earned the respect of students and staff. During the leadership lecture, Roza Karasayevna told the students about her student years, and spoke in detail about the years of work at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

It is worth noting that Roza Karasayevna is a participant in the labor front and an honorary veteran of the university. For her exemplary work, she was awarded many honorary diplomas from the university, the Ministry of Higher Education of the Kazakh SSR, an honorary diploma from the Supreme Council of Kazakhstan and many others.

The Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism expresses its most sincere wishes to Roza Karasayevna, the same age as KazNU, and also wishes her health and well-being.
