Today, a round table was held at the Faculty of Law of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University within the framework of the UN SDG No. 17 and in honor of World Election Day. The event was attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Law, Professor of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law, Chairman of the 259th polling station Gulnar Tuleukhadirovna Aygarinova, Deputy Chairman of the 259th polling station Bayturbai Orynbasar, students of the Faculty of Law, as well as the Chairman of the Territorial Election Commission of the Bostandyk district. - Kaliaskarova Sholpan Rysbekovna, Deputy Chairman of the Territorial Election Commission of Bostandyk district Bekbosynova Gulim Nuradilovna, Secretary of the territorial election Commission of Bostandyk district - Kenes Kyrkai Kaysarovna.
The round table dedicated to World Election Day was aimed at educating law students about their rights and responsibilities in implementing electoral legislation. In addition, in order to promote the right to be elected, a debate contest "I am a future candidate for deputy" was held. Students of group 305 of the Faculty of Law Bakhyt Yerultan and Kuntugan Dariga presented their candidate programs to the deputy of the Maslikhat. The candidates raised issues such as the education system, the environmental condition of the city of Almaty, problems with traffic jams, the fight against drug addiction among teenagers and suggested ways to solve them.
In her report, Chairman of the Territorial Election Commission of Bostandyk district Kaliaskarova Sholpan Rysbekovna exchanged views on the electoral system, a brief history of the elections held in the country and the latest changes. The students' questions were answered.
