AI and Digitalization is A Demand of the Time

At the extended meeting of the government, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev addressed numerous issues and gave specific instructions. Among the key topics discussed, special attention was given to the need to integrate AI (artificial intelligence) into all sectors, which will lead to a reduction in the workforce, as well as the effective utilization of all opportunities in science and education. The importance of maintaining the pace and quality of reforms in science and higher education was emphasized, along with the necessity of allocating educational grants based on the rankings of educational institutions under government supervision.
It was noted that in recent years, the state has significantly increased funding for science. Fair decisions must be made regarding projects, and funds should be allocated strictly for their intended purpose. As a result, only universities, institutes, and scientists conducting high-quality and in-demand research should receive budget financing. It was stressed that science and education will remain a priority and that the country must move forward with clear and confident steps, contributing to its development.

In the era of digitalization, it is essential not to fall behind but to advance in line with modern demands. It was stated that this will lead to significant achievements, and specific instructions were given.
