SDG 16 "Peace, justice and effective institutions"

On January 29, 2025, at the Faculty of Law of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, teachers of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Doctor of Law Baimakhanova D.M., Candidate of Law Mynbatyrova N.K. and the student club «Memleket zhane kukyk tarikhy» (group 204 of the Faculty of Law) were a festive event dedicated to the International Holiday of All Students "Tatiana's Day" was organized within the framework of SDG 16 "Peace, justice and effective institutions". Speaker Ulan Saparbayev, a student of group 204, spoke in is speach about the history of the genesis of the international holiday of all students in Europe in the Middle Ages. Baydildaeva Zhanerke noted the importance of this holiday for the development of traditions and customs of students’ self-government.

Teachers Mynbatyrova N.K. and Baimakhanova D.M. told about the traditions of self-government at Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi at the Faculty of Law. They paid special attention to the activities of the student’s dean of the Faculty, the Student Senate and other forms of student involvement in the learning process. The students asked the speakers many questions about self-government in dormitories.
