Development of Legal Education – Focus on Administrative Justice

Since January 20, 2025, faculty members of the Faculty of Law at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University have been undergoing a professional development course titled "Fundamentals of Law and Anti-Corruption Culture."
The course was organized at the highest level, with the support of the administration of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Institute for Professional Development and Continuing Education, and the Faculty of Law, all of whom consistently contribute to the professional growth of faculty members by providing access to current knowledge and advanced teaching methodologies.
Special thanks go to the speaker, one of the most respected professors at the Faculty of Law, Doctor of Law, A.S. Ibraeva. Her profound knowledge, high professionalism, and skillful delivery turned the learning process into a highly productive and beneficial experience, allowing participants to grasp complex legal aspects in an easy and accessible way.

The course program covered recent developments in various areas of law. For example, one of the course days was dedicated to studying the Administrative Procedural Code (APC), the adoption of which marked a key stage in the development of administrative justice in Kazakhstan.
During the course, the following topics were covered:

• New approaches in administrative procedural law;
• Legal regulation of administrative procedures and administrative litigation;
• Development of practical skills for applying the APC in professional activities.

As a result, the course provided faculty members with up-to-date knowledge on the mechanisms of administrative litigation and the protection of citizens' rights in public law disputes. This is particularly important in the context of the move toward a "listening state," a model of service-oriented, effective, and professional public administration.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University once again confirms its high status as the leading legal university in the country, demonstrating its commitment to improving educational programs and incorporating cutting-edge knowledge into the learning process.
