A NEW PERSPECTIVE ON KOREAN STUDIES: PROFESSOR SON YUJUNG BEGINS TEACHING AT AL-FARABI KAZNU WITH THE SUPPORT OF KOREA FOUNDATION

In October 2024, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Korea Foundation signed an agreement to send a visiting professor to the Department of Far East Studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies with financial support from the Korea Foundation. The agreement covers the period from January 20, 2025, to August 31, 2026. As part of this collaboration, Professor Son Yujung from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies joined the Faculty of Far East Studies and began teaching lectures and conducting practical classes for students starting in January 2025.

Professor Son Yujung brings extensive experience in teaching the Korean language and culture and is a highly qualified specialist in scientific research. We believe that his presence will significantly enhance the quality of education for our students and contribute to the further development of Korean studies at our university.

Professor Son is introducing the Korean higher education system, imparting new approaches and methods to our students. In addition to helping students improve their learning processes in line with international standards, he is working to strengthen cultural ties. The participation of such distinguished educators broadens students' worldviews and fosters greater interest in various languages and cultures.
