A New Director of the Arab Studies Center Has Been Appointed

Dr. B.N. Djubatova, Doctor of Philology, has been appointed as the Director of the Arab Studies Center at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

B.N. Djubatova is a graduate of Al-Farabi KazNU. For many years, she served as the head of the department and the dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. She is the author of numerous research papers, educational materials, and a leader of scientific projects.

The Arab Studies Center was established in the 2000s at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU under the leadership of Dr. G.N. Nadirova, Professor of Philological Sciences. Later, in 2021, Academician A. Derbisali was appointed as the Director of the Center. From 2021 to 2025, the position of director was held by PhD Shokay Erkinbek.

The Arab Studies Center actively collaborates with the Arabic Language Academy and universities in several Arab countries (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, etc.). In the future, joint scientific projects with these institutions are planned.
