"I Came into This World to Sing About Life”

The faculty of the Department of “Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory” conducts various weekly events within the framework of the University’s Sustainable Development Goals. On February 6, 2025, within the framework of “SDG 4: Quality Education,” an educational hour on the topic: ‘I Came into This World to Sing About Life” dedicated to the birthday of the poet Mukagali Makatayev was held. The event was organized the senior lecturer Tleubaev S., PhD, the senior lecturer E.S. Seysenbieva together with the first-year PhD student majoring in 8D02304 “Literary Studies”, Serikzhanova Marzhan and the a second-year students of the “6B02305 Kazakh Philology” major. During the session, Serikzhanova Marzhan delivered the report about the poet, and the students from Group 201 shared information about the poet’s life and creative works. They also analyzed his writings and poetry. The event, organized on the eve of the poet’s birthday, allowed students to share their thoughts which made the lesson both engaging and insightful. As part of a warm-up activity, the participants played a “question-and-answer” game related to the poet’s works. The students noted that they gained a lot of useful information during this interactive segment. Additionally, the students sang songs and recited poems. At the end of the session, a young poet and a student, Berdibek Adil, read his poem “Muzbalak,” dedicated to Mukagali. The educational hour was both interesting and captivating.
