Cooperation between the student law clinic of the Faculty of Law of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi and the Banking Ombudsman of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of legal advice to citizens

On February 7, 2025, within the framework of SDG-16, an important meeting was held between representatives of the Student law clinic of the Faculty of Law of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi and the Banking Ombudsman of the Republic of Kazakhstan D. Nurpeisov in order to strengthen legal institutions and provide accessible legal assistance to citizens.
The purpose of this meeting is to increase the legal literacy of citizens and provide them with high-quality and accessible legal services. During the meeting, the Banking Ombudsman of the Republic of Kazakhstan D. Nurpeisov spoke about the activities of the ombudsman and his importance in the financial and banking sectors. He noted that about 2 thousand requests are received monthly by the office of the banking ombudsman, which indicates a high need of the population for legal assistance in the banking sector. In addition, D. Nurpeisov drew attention to the need for systematic work aimed at resolving legal issues of citizens.  
Doctor of Law, Professor of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law of the Law Faculty of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi D. Baidel'dinov, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Banking Ombudsman of the Republic of Kazakhstan     D. Nurpeisov for organizing this meeting. He noted the readiness of the student law clinic for further cooperation in the field of legal advice to citizens, as well as the possibility of conducting scientific research on current legal issues.
