As part of the SDGs, representatives of the Faculty of Oriental Studies participated in an event organized by the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran

On February 10, 2025, the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty held a solemn event dedicated to the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, N.B. Yem, the Head of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, D.M. Kokeeva, as well as faculty members and students of the Iranian Studies Department. The Acting Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty, Bahman Agharazi, and the Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty, Ambassador-at-Large Zhanibek Abdrashov, delivered congratulatory speeches. As part of the festive program, first-year Iranian Studies student Rakhad Adilov performed a song on the bayan in Persian and Kazakh.
