THE STAFF OF THE FACULTY OF ORIENTAL STUDIES HAD A MEETING WITH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Today, an online meeting on Career Guidance was successfully held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies. During the meeting, the heads of departments, the deputy dean and the student dean told applicants in detail about educational programs, student life opportunities and study prospects.

After the video presentation and opening speeches, a question-and-answer session was held, where participants received detailed answers to the most pressing questions live. The event was attended by students from leading schools in Kazakhstan, including:

• Almaty: No. 181, specialized lyceum No. 178, school-lyceum No. 173, gymnasium No. 148, Nazarbayev Intellectual School, specialized lyceum No. 92, school No. 205, gymnasium No. 133, lyceum No. 126;

• Astana: BINOM, School-Lyceum No. 60, School-Lyceum No. 78;

• Zhetysu region: Karabulak Secondary School (Yeskeldinsky district);

• Ekibastuz city: Zerde specialized school-lyceum;

• Zhambyl region: School-Gymnasium No. 44 (Merkino district);

• Turkestan region: Zhambyl Secondary School (Baidibek district).

The Open Day allowed high school students to get acquainted with the faculty’s capabilities and receive comprehensive information about admission and education.

The event was a success, attracting a large number of participants and generating keen interest among high school students. Future applicants received a detailed overview of the faculty, its educational programs, and career opportunities. An important part of the meeting was the interactive session, where schoolchildren were able to ask questions of interest to them and receive detailed answers directly from faculty representatives. Teachers and parents also noted the high level of organization and informativeness of the event, expressing gratitude for the accessible and useful explanation of key aspects of admission and education. Holding such meetings helps students/applicants make an informed choice of their future profession and strengthens the bond between the school and the university.
