Meeting with veterans of the Afghan war, internationalist soldiers, teachers of the military Department of KazNU, Colonel Kozhakhmetov Kh.K. and Lieutenant Colonel Shashatsky A.N.

On February 12, 2025, at the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, teachers of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Doctor of Law, Professor Baimahanova, D.M., Doctor of Law, Professor Ibrayeva A.S., Doctor of Law, Professor Kegembayeva Zh.A. and the student club "Amanat (407 group of the Faculty of Law) organized a meeting with veterans of the Afghan war, internationalist soldiers, teachers of the military Department of KazNU, Colonel Kozhakhmetov Kh.K. and Lieutenant Colonel Shashatsky A.N. within the framework of SDG 16 "Peace, justice and effective institutions".

The meeting was dedicated to the 36th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan on February 15, 1989. The theme of the meeting was "The role of internationalist soldiers in the patriotic education of the youth and the teenage generation of Kazakhstan."

Lieutenant Colonel A.N. Shashatsky told the students about how he served in Afghanistan and fulfilled his international duty. He paid special attention to the heroism of our Kazakhstani soldiers, ordinary guys from ordinary families. These guys were distinguished by hard work, high organization, courage and courage.   Colonel Kozhakhmetov Kh.K. noted that 16,820 internationalist soldiers currently live in Kazakhstan.  On February 15, the day of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, many veterans will go to schools, universities and other educational institutions with lectures on fostering patriotism and love for the Motherland among the younger generation.

The students showed great interest in the topic of the meeting and asked the speakers many questions.
