International Scientific and Practical Conference Dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of Professor Zhappar Zhuman

On December 6, 2024, the Faculty of International Relations at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Professor Zhappar Zhuman. This event was held as part of the celebrations marking the 90th anniversary of the Kazakh National University.

Professor Zhappar Zhuman is a widely respected scientist and educator within Kazakhstan's scientific and pedagogical community. A cybernetic economist and Doctor of Economics, he is an Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, an Honorary Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and an Academician of the National Academy of Natural Sciences of Kazakhstan. He is also a laureate of the K.I. Satpayev State Prize, the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Prize, and the academician A.I. Baraev Prize, having received the gold medal for his contributions. As a specialist in international and national economics, Professor Zhuman has authored numerous publications on economic cybernetics, international economic relations, and educational methodologies.

The conference brought together scientists, experts, and representatives from government agencies in Kazakhstan and abroad to discuss pressing issues in international relations, regional studies, global economics, the interaction between international and national law, and the significance of foreign languages and diplomatic translation.
