Gender Equality in Society

On February 14, 2025, a training session on the topic "Gender Equality in Society" took place at the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was organized as part of the implementation of SDG #5. The participants of the seminar included the department head, Professor G.A. Kuanalieva, PhD Dr. G.K. Rasheva, Senior Lecturer E.S. Kuandykova, and invited guests: President of the "Human Rights Lawyers" organization and Coordinator of the "One Step " Service Center, Lazzat Rakisheva, and a member of the Union of Psychologists of Kazakhstan, practicing psychologist at the Jenisgul Khabaeva Center, Jenisgul Khabaeva. First-year law faculty students also actively participated in the event.

The invited speakers, Lazzat Rakisheva and Jenisgul Khabaeva, presented the work of the "One step" Center, which focuses on promoting gender equality, combating domestic violence, and its prevention. They also highlighted the latest changes in Kazakhstan's legislation on these issues and shared real-life examples. Associate Professor K.K. Kuandykov emphasized the importance of such meetings for students, as they provide an opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
