A Representative of the Bank of China Took Part in the Employers’ Council Meeting

In recent years, the Department of Chinese Studies has been focusing on expanding internship opportunities for students. Under the leadership of the faculty dean, N.B. Em, partnerships have been established with Chinese companies and organizations working directly with China. As a result, students now have the opportunity to undergo internships at major enterprises and government institutions.

One of the key partners is the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) in Almaty. Over the past two years, this bank has become a reliable place for the department’s students to complete their internships. On February 18, the head of the bank’s HR department, Diana Manapova, attended the Faculty’s Employers’ Council meeting. It is noteworthy that Diana is a 2018 graduate of the Chinese Studies Department.

During the meeting, she provided a detailed overview of the bank’s operations, HR policies, and requirements for young professionals. This information is highly valuable for the department, as it helps refine the training trajectory for future specialists and improve academic programs. Currently, four students from the department are interning at this bank.

At the end of the meeting, Faculty Dean N.B. Em presented Diana Manapova with a certificate of appreciation for her active contribution to the training of Chinese Studies specialists.
