Open Seminar: «Land Ownership Rights» (within SDG 15 «Life on Land»)

On February 17, 2025, at the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law, Ainash Akimsalovna Yessekeyeva, held an open seminar on the subject of «Land Law» for students of group 305, on the topic «Land Ownership Rights». The seminar was attended by Head of the Department G.A. Kuanaliyeva, and Deputy Heads of the Department E.S. Kuandykova and G.K. Rasheva. The event was organized within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 15 – «Life on Land».

The main objective of the seminar was to discuss current changes and challenges in terrestrial ecosystems, identify their causes and consequences, and explore potential solutions. Additionally, the session aimed to examine the characteristics of ecosystems and provide students with new insights on the topic.

During the seminar, students analyzed the impact of land ownership rights on ecosystems, the importance of legal regulation, and the effectiveness of environmental legislation. Each student shared their perspective on the issue and proposed relevant solutions. The discussion covered key topics such as legal protection of land resources, sustainable use of natural assets, and adherence to sustainable development principles.

The open seminar stood out for its active student engagement, in-depth analysis of pressing issues, and thoughtful proposals. Events like this contribute to a better understanding of the role of environmental law in society and foster new ideas for nature conservation and sustainable development.
