
On February 14, 2025, at 15:00, The Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies of the Faculty of Philology held a workshop for the 1st year students of the 6В02303 – «Translation Studies» major. Focusing on human rights, the event aligned with SDG 10 «Reduced Inequalities» and SDG 16 «Peace, justice and strong institutions». PhD students of the Department «Foreign Philology and Translation Studies» A. Shaimanov, B. Tunggysh and the lecturers of the Department M. Aimagambetova and A. Baiyeli were responsible for the workshop. The purpose of the workshop was to increase the knowledge of the students about human rights, to teach them how to protect their rights and the rights of their relatives. The meeting was held as an interactive, lively and interesting training, with a focus on discussion, which was possible thanks to the specially invited speakers and volunteer students from the organization of the Youth Information Service of Kazakhstan. The following students who were the speakers at the workshop and were able to make the audience think were Mukasheva Adema, Sakhan Daulet, Bekmurat Aisha. During the event, the students received the meaningful and the useful information about the Universal Declaration of human rights, learnt about their obligations to the state and their rights, got the opportunity to register on the pages of the CJSC in social networks and to develop as citizens and as individuals.
