A creative meeting was held with the prominent writer, playwright and translator Nurlan Kami.

Within the framework of SDG 4 "Quality Education", on February 19, 2025, the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature organized a creative meeting with the prominent writer, playwright, and translator Nurlan Kami. The head of the Department, Doctor  of Philological Sciences, Full Professor Alua Berikbaykyzy Temirbolat, delivered the opening speech and  wished  success to the participants and the  students. The moderator, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Zholdasbek Ormakhanovich Mambetov, introduced the guests of the creative meeting to the students and provided the  information on the main topics and issues that would be discussed during the event.

Alongside the writer, the event was attended by renowned poet Bolat Zhetekbai and film director Asyl Kudaibergenov. The organization of the creative meeting was led by Candidate of Philological Sciences Sovetkhan Bayanovich Tileubaev. The meeting was also attended by the teaching staff of the Department: Doctor  of Philological Sciences, Full Professor Zufar Nursapovich Seitzhanov, Candidate of Philological Sciences Serikbai Klyshbaevich Kosanov, Candidate of Philological Sciences Samal Daribaevich Daribaev, Candidate of Philological Sciences Erkhan Karbozovich Karbozov, PhD, Acting Associate Professor Gulnaz Rakhimovna Dautova, senior lecturer Bakytkozha Baigozhaevich Bayazitov.

During the meeting, writer Nurlan Kami shared the secrets of the writer's artistic skills, spoke about the process of creating works, the choice of themes, the peculiarities of the genre of the story, the principles of writing dramatic works and the translation of literary and cinematic texts. In addition, he shared interesting facts about his works "The Death of the Girl Danai", "Blue Gate", "Meeting", the topics raised in them, the history of their writing and the prototypes of the main characters.  The students and  the guests of the meeting asked the writer various questions about the intricacies of the profession of a writer, the principles of writing works. A free dialogue took place between the author and the readers.

The event was organized by the 1st-year PhD students of  "8D02304 – Literary Studies" major  Alma Kenzhekozhaeva and Marzhan Serikzhanova. At the end of the meeting, the writer wished the students creative success and expressed his gratitude. The creative meeting and open dialogue between the writer and young readers provided  the students with valuable insights into the writing process, literary craftsmanship, and creative workflow.
