Online Meeting with the Department of International Cooperation

On February 13, 2025, an online meeting was held for first, second, and third-year students, organized by the Department of International Cooperation at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, with the participation of the leadership of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, the Faculty of Information Technologies, and the Faculty of Physics and Technology.
During the event, participants learned about the opportunities to participate in the academic mobility competition from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which offers students a chance to study at leading foreign universities.
Additionally, the meeting provided an overview of the universities involved in the program, discussed the terms of participation and the opportunities the competition opens, and students were able to ask questions to the representatives of the Department of International Cooperation, receiving comprehensive answers on all topics of interest.
This meeting is closely linked to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), one of which is SDG 4: Quality Education, as participation in the academic mobility program provides students with the opportunity to receive quality education abroad, improving their academic and professional prospects.
The program also contributes to SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, by offering equal opportunities for study to students from different socio-economic backgrounds and reducing barriers to access to international education. Additionally, participation in international mobility supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by strengthening global partnerships, knowledge exchange, and best educational practices between universities from different countries.
