An open lesson on "Legal issues of currency regulation. Conducting an analysis of currency legislation"

On February 19, 2025, E.S. Kuandykova, PhD, Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law, conducted an open lesson for students of the 214th group of the Faculty of Law on the topic "Legal issues of currency regulation. Conducting an analysis of currency legislation", which was related to SDG-16. The purpose of the open lesson was to discuss the legal aspects of currency legislation, explain the current state of the currency regulation system in the Republic of Kazakhstan and its alignment with international standards. During the lesson, E.S. Kuandykova highlighted in detail the economic and legal significance of currency regulation, gave examples based on the latest changes in Kazakhstan's currency legislation and international experience.
The lesson was closely related to the SDG-16 goal, as effective currency regulation plays a key role in ensuring stability and equity in the global economy. The teacher conducted an in-depth scientific analysis of the legal mechanisms of currency regulation, which helped to encourage students to conduct scientific research in this area.
The open lesson was also attended by the head of the Department, Doctor of Law, Professor G.A. Kuanalieva, Professor G.T. Aigarinova, PhD G. Rasheva and senior lecturer K.A. Bakhmanova. They answered the students' questions and shared their opinions on currency regulation issues. At the end of the lesson, the students expressed their thoughts and discussed the legal aspects of currency legislation.
This open lesson contributed to the students' in-depth understanding of the legal foundations of currency regulation and legislation, as well as an assessment of Kazakhstan's place in the international financial system. He increased the interest of students in scientific research in this field and was fully consistent with SDG-16, as he raised issues of financial equity and ensuring economic stability.
