Gender Equality Among Youth: Legal Aspects and the Importance of Scientific Research

On February 20, 2025, an event on the topic of "Gender Equality" was organized for students of the 203 group of the Educational Program "Jurisprudence" with the aim of consolidating youth on the path to science. The event was held with the participation of Associate Professor of the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law of the Law Faculty of Al-Farabi KazNU, Z.M. Amanzholov, the Director of the Student Legal Clinic, D.A. Bakirov, and Associate Professors of the Department of "Jurisprudence" of Abai KazNPU, A.R. Bizhanova, and D.Zh. Belkhozhaeva.

The event was conducted within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG-5): “Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.” During the discussions, issues of gender equality, its legal aspects, and its significance for modern society were considered. Special attention was paid to legal mechanisms for achieving gender equality as well as international experience in this area.

Participants emphasized the importance of scientific research in attracting youth to academic activities and strengthening gender equality in society.

This event, aligned with the goals of SDG-5, contributed to deepening students' legal knowledge and encouraged them to engage in scientific research focused on gender equality and the development of a scientific approach to addressing pressing social issues.
